Andhra University (A.U.), Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh in the recent times has been actively involved in forging a strong bonding with the Indian Defence tri-services in establishing the defence services – institutional collaboration, with the aim of empowering the warriors of the nation with academic qualifications for the award of degree/diploma/certificate affiliating defence training centers, special lecturers working at defence campus, joint education & Research programmers etc., for the training being imparted to them at their defence establishments and supporting the technological front of the defence arena by developing new technologies suitable for services.
The “AU-DEFENCE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CENTRE” has been inaugurated by his EXCELLENCY, SHRI RAMNATH KOVIND JI, HON’BLE PRESIDENT OF INDIA on 7th December 2017.
The Centre for Defence Studies has been declared open by Shri Ram NathKovind, Hon’ble President of India during his visit to Andhra University on 7th December 2017.
