PROFILE

A.U. College of Engineering for Women was established in the year 2010 under self-finance category exclusively for girls to ensure nation building by tapping the reservoir of talent in women. It is one of the constituent colleges of Andhra University, approved by the AICTE and was awarded 3.6 on four a point scale with 'A' grade by the NAAC Committee. The college offers Bachelor of Technology in the following branches - Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Science & Systems Engineering courses with an intake of 60 students per branch from the State Engineering Entrance Examination-EAMCET.

A. U. College of Engineering for Women has dedicated and motivated faculty to inculcate concepts from fundamentals to advanced level using pedagogical methods and a variety of teaching and learning techniques. Added to this, the campus is equipped with modern infrastructure such as conventional classrooms & e-class rooms, library & reading room, computer lab, WiFi, laboratories as per curriculum, soft skills lab., playground and hostel.

Each department of the college organizes workshops and conferences in the seminar hall with a seating capacity of 200 to facilitate the students, a broader outlook on latest technologies and research, recent advancements, etc. and eminent speakers from various institutes deliver lectures.

Placement cell with a professor in-charge is looking after the campus placements inviting various institutes for recruitment. Students admitted in the year 2010, 2011 and 2012 are placed in IBM, WIPRO, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, THOUGHT WORKS, ANALYTICAL QUOTIENT. In the campus placements, 70% of the outgoing students in the year 2014, 80% in 2015 80% in 2016 and 80% in 2017 have secured jobs.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in the skill development programmes available in the university at A. U. College of Engineering. Unique courses such as Mechatronics lab., Robotic lab., CNC Machines lab., Advanced Manufacturing Lab., etc. are offered as part of skill development programme. Students of all years are encouraged to join in courses that boost their future career.
