PROFILE

The Advanced Analytical Centre was established in the year 2009. The Centre was started in Andhra University since individual researchers may not be able to generate huge research funds for the research instruments. The centre is equipped with sophisticated instruments which help the faculty, research scholars and students to carry out globally competitive R & D in basic and applied sciences like Biological, Chemical, Physical, Pharmaceutical, Mathematical, Engineering & Earth sciences. DST-PURSE: The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India has identified Andhra University as one of the 14 performing Institutions in terms of research contributions. The H-Index based on Scopus of the University stands at 41. Based on the research outcome of the University during the last five years the DST awarded second phase PURSE Program. PURSE scheme provides substantive research grant to Universities based on scientific publications in Science Citation Indexed Journals through SCOPUS Database. Under the PURSE Program, DST intends to provide support to performing Universities across the country essentially for research man-power cost, augmentation of equipment and computational facilities, research consumables, organization of scientific conferences/workshops, travel and maintenance of the facilities.
